CORONA, CA – Today, the Chairman of the Republican Party of Riverside County,
Jonathan Ingram, called on Assemblywoman Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) to
return the $4,400 in donations received by alleged sexual harasser Assemblywoman
Cristina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens).

“Garcia’s alleged actions are deeply troubling,” said Ingram. “If Cervantes is serious
about changing the Capitol’s culture and fighting sexual harassment, she must
denounce Garcia and return Garcia’s contributions immediately.”

According to a report in Politico, Assemblywoman Garcia allegedly cornered a
young staff member and groped him while intoxicated. In another instance,
Assemblywoman Garcia allegedly groped a lobbyist at a fundraiser while
intoxicated.

State Senator Connie Leyva (D-Chino), Vice Chairwoman of the California Legislative
Women’s Caucus, called on Garcia to take a leave of absence until the investigation is
completed. She added, “As a vocal ally of the #MeToo and #WeSaidEnough
movements, I am shocked and disturbed at the very troubling allegations related to
California Legislative Women’s Caucus Chair Cristina Garcia.”
